Assalamualaykom everyone,

The Importance of Praying Manga contest is now extended until march 31st.  This contest is now going to be combined with the Respecting Your Parents Contest.  That means that there is only one winner for both these contests.

General Rules

Specific Rules and instruction
Your manga must depict the importance of Praying or doing Salaat.

The idea is to make a manga a) to encourage younger Muslims to do their prayers, b) teach non-Muslims why Muslims pray or why it is important to Muslims, or c) both a and b.

This contest will not be about the importance of praying on time, which might be something a lot of you might want to make a story about.   That is another contest that will be in the future.

Also keep in mind that this is not a “how to pray” contest.  This is a contest to explain the importance of praying.

If anyone wants to participate in this contest and has a story, but doesn’t feel he or she can draw very well, post a comment here and say something like “I have a story, but I need someone to draw it for me”

If anyone wants to participate in this contest and can draw, but doesn’t feel he or she has a story, post a comment here and say something like “I want to draw a manga, but I need someone to come up with a story for me”

Once you post your comment, look around and see other people’s comments.  You can not each other and discuss the details of your manga project.  (Please don’t discuss the details in the comments section.)

Prize – The first place winner will get a 6 month subscription.  If you do a collaboration, you split the prize in half.
