About  

‘Islam’ originates from the root word Salema: peace, purity, submission and obedience.
However, in recent times, several incidences have taken the world spotlight to focus on so called “Muslims” who are extremists who have no value for the TRUE teachings of Islam (which promotes peace, love and harmony).

Thus, we would like to hold an activity as an effort in combating this alarming situation through art and manga. As the saying goes, “the pen is mightier than the sword.”

Theme: “It’s all about Peace” 

• Category 1: Artwork
• Category 2: Manga/webcomic (maximum 12 pages)

Rules  

• Be a member of the Muslim-Manga group on deviantArt.
• Entry must be according to the theme “It’s all about Peace.”
• Maximum of 2 submissions per category.
• However, only one entry is eligible to win per category .
• Characters must be dressed decently (no tight/revealing clothing).
• If you are interested in joining, please leave a comment below! It’s not compulsory, but it helps us keep things organized.
• Do not break any of Muslim Manga’s general submission rules.
• Write “MuslimManga.org” in the bottom corner of your artwork (or manga cover in case of category 2).
• Comics needs to be in English.
• Submissions must be made before 11:59 AM 18 February 2015 (EST).
